About Us

Gene Terekhov started building things with his hands back in 2019, working in construction alongside his family. A few years later he built a fence so his kids' new dog would have a safe place to run. That one project turned into the work he does today, serving homeowners across Southwest Washington and the Portland metro.

about us

More Than Wood and Posts

Gene got into the trade in 2019 because he liked working with his hands and building things that hold up. When his family got a dog, he needed a fence to keep it safe, and something clicked. He found he'd rather be outside building a fence than doing almost anything else. That's the work he's done ever since, and it's why Terek Fencing exists.

Why We Do This

A good fence is peace of mind. It's a yard where kids can play and pets can roam without anyone watching the gate. Gene builds every fence with that in mind, because he built his first one for exactly that reason.

Our vision

How We Treat Your Property

Terek Fencing is family-owned and owner-operated, and Gene's wife and daughter help keep the day-to-day running. Every job gets treated the way he'd treat his own yard: careful, clean, and finished right before anyone calls it done.

OUR APPROACH

How Gene Works a Job

Every fence is a little different, but the way Gene runs a project doesn't change. Here's what working with Terek Fencing actually looks like.

You Deal With the Owner

Gene is hands-on from the first call through the final walkthrough. He quotes your job, he plans it, and he's there as it gets built. His standards are on the work from the first post to the last.

Honest Advice, Not a Sales Pitch

Gene tells you what a project actually needs, what it doesn't, and what will hold up best over time. If there's a smarter or more affordable way to get what you want, he'll say so.

Built to Last in This Climate

Fences in the Pacific Northwest deal with wet winters and shifting soil. Gene builds with that in mind, setting posts and finishing details so the fence stays solid through the freeze-thaw seasons, not just the day it goes up.

Backed in Writing

Every installation is covered by a 2-Year Workmanship Warranty and Satisfaction Guarantee. Gene stands behind the work because he's the one who did it.
